Photography by Mark R Friedman Since 1972

That's Interesting!

I'm turning 66 this month (June, 2016) and this site will be undergoing a significant change:  I'm going to display a retrospective of my work - artist's favorites.

That differs from the current offering as I took into consideration the expections of my audience - displaying simple subjects and creative techniques so that you may not be aware of either when you view the images.  That explains why there are no captions:  The pictures are complete entities and speak for themselves.

The revised site will have fewer groups (I think) and more images in each group.  And many will be captioned.

They will be my picks as I look back over the years.

I've been a photographer since early childhood (1964 - earliest dated images).  I've been a good photographer since the early 1970s (first sale was to Kodak in 1972.).

My first show in Greenwich Village in 1979 and my most recent show was in Ossining in 2012.

I offer event photography services to charitable organizations and worthy causes for direct out-of-pocket costs.

I've done Event Photography for worthy causes like these:

  • Kensico Reservoir Cleanup Day (NYC DEP, 2015),
  • Walk Now for Autism Speaks (2014, 2015),
  • 10-13 Fundraiser for Det. Ed Walker and Family (3/29/15)
  • The Janet Fund,
  • Volunteer NY - The September 11th National Day of Service and Remembrance (2014),
  • Noah's Ark,
  • Help Portrait,
  • Barktober Fest 2010,
  • Living Art Event (2014)
